Executive Steering Committee

Comprised of our Professional Advisor Lt. Chuck Veppert (OSP Ret) along with Sgt. Dann Nivens, Ofc. Jonathan Bastock, Ofc. Bob Brinkley and Sgt. Steve Brown, the Executive Steering Committee is the governing body that provides oversight and direction to the SMcRT.

Responsible for developing policies, protocols, and establishing best practices for the Unit, the Steering Committee meets quarterly to review SMcRT performance and objectives and is responsible to assure that the Unit is staffed with the most professional crash investigators available in our area.

Some of the members of this committee are "founding fathers" while others have long been associated with the SMcRT since the earliest days of it's inception. These officers hold the Unit true to it's original mandate to provide the highest quality crash investigations to participating agencies; sharing equipment, personnel, skill sets and expertise for the benefit of all involved and building bridges between individual agencies and bringing together the best and the brightest investigators in Summit County.
